Shannon currently holds the position Of Counsel with the law firm of Hull Barrett. She joined the firm in 1996 and was named partner in 1998. From 1996 to 2001 she maintained an active practice in the area of general civil litigation with an emphasis on media law, tort defense and commercial litigation. She served as lead counsel in a wide variety of cases including disputes involving: media access to courts, reporters’ privilege issues, business disputes, premises liability, personal injury and general tort disputes. She also demonstrated a broad range of appellate experience by serving as lead counsel in appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Georgia Supreme court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Appellate Division of the Georgia State Board of Workers Compensation.
