Shannon joined the firm in 1996 and was named partner in 1998. From 1996 to 2001 she maintained an active practice in the area of general civil litigation with an emphasis on media law, tort defense and commercial litigation. She served as lead counsel in a wide variety of cases including disputes involving: media access to courts, reporters’ privilege issues, business disputes, premises liability, personal injury and general tort disputes. She returned to active practice in 2011, with a current emphasis on medical malpractice defense. She also practices in the area of general insurance defense.
