BWilliam J. Keogh, III Appointed as Vice-Chairman of Two Statewide Bar Committees
September 1, 2008

  • The Statewide Judicial Evaluation Committee, which is a standing committee that advises the President with regard to the qualifications of all candidates for appointment the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Georgia trial courts. This appointment runs through 2011.
  • The Committee on Judiciary, which is a special committee designed to protect the rule of law and the independence of the courts, through long-term strategic planning and recommendations regarding judicial selection and compensation.  This appointment also runs through 2011.
Bill continues to serve on the bar's governing body, the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, and has done so since 2004.
