In collaboration with Augusta Sports Council, the Augusta Ballet presented “Bike for the Ballet” on Sunday, August 7th in downtown Augusta. With a renewed vision to inspire and unite the world through dance, the Augusta Ballet continues to advance its 1962 mission based on fiscal, artistic and community integrity. “Bike for the Ballet” is a part of Augusta Ballet’s Dance in the Garden City 2011-2012 programs celebrating and growing a greener, healthier CSRA through dance and community partnerships. Cyclists throughout the region, including Hull Barrett PC’s Neal Dickert and James Ellington, rode their bikes and or doned pink tutus to raise awareness of Augusta Ballet’s outreach battling childhood obesity with local and national partners. The event began at historic Enterprise Mill at 1450 Greene Street.
