It’s Spooky to Be Hungry

For the third year in a row, Hull Barrett PC served as a food donation drop off location for the Golden Harvest Food Bank’s “It’s Spooky to Be Hungry” food drive. This year’s campaign raised $54,117.98 and collected 113,461 pounds of food from drives in Aiken, Richmond and Columbia counties. “The money was just short of the $60,000 goal,” said Millie Robinson, who coordinates the food drive.

For every dollar raised, the food bank can purchase $7 worth of food through collaboration with other food banks. The food collected during It’s Spooky To Be Hungry will be distributed to area nonprofit agencies such as church food pantries and shelters.
