Mike has 33 years of trial experience. He has tried close to 100 cases to verdict in the State and Federal Courts. His litigation experience early on was varied and included both criminal and civil matters. Over time, he added the defense of trucking cases to his practice, however, over the last 10 years his practice has primarily focused on the defense of healthcare providers.
Mike represents clients in cases related to general civil litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. As a partner in our Augusta office, Mike’s practice focuses on representing hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes and other health care providers throughout Georgia and South Carolina. He also represents physicians before the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia and The South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. Mike handles matters from pre-suit investigation through discovery and final judgment. Mike also handles comprehensive general insurance defense, including suits involving premises liability, breach of contract, construction , and automobile and trucking liability.
