William H. Tucker

Bill joined Hull Barrett in 1980 and is a senior partner in the Aiken office of the firm. He practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate, and business/corporate law and has extensive experience on wealth transfer issues for individuals and owners of closely held businesses, the administration of decedents’ estates, as well as residential and commercial real estate transactions and small business transfers.His experience includes over 40 years of representation of buyers, sellers, and lenders in thousands of residential real estate closings; commercial real estate closings for new projects, mergers and acquisitions and buyouts; and representation of buyers and sellers of closely held retail and service businesses and professional practices.
Paul K. Simons, Jr.

Paul’s practice centers mainly on representing banking and corporate clients in transactions such as commercial loans; real estate acquisitions, development and leasing; and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in corporate/commercial law, including all aspects of business formation and operation, joint venture transactions, strategic partnerships, equity buy-in agreements, buy-sell agreements and other similar agreements, as well as a variety of agreements that clients require for their continuing operations.
David E. Hudson

David practices in the area of general civil litigation with an emphasis on business and commercial disputes, media law and construction law. He has been a trial lawyer since 1974, and has represented clients at the trial court level in Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, and New York. He has also argued numerous appeals in the appellate courts of Georgia, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and a case before the Supreme Court of the United States.
John (Jay) I. Harper

Counsel with and advise clients regarding their estate planning, including wills, trusts, durable financial powers of attorney, advance directives for healthcare, and family and charitable gifting. Assist in the preparation of the essential estate planning documents, as well as revocable (‘living’) trusts, irrevocable gift trusts, life insurance trusts, all types of charitable trusts and private foundations, including advising about the tax effects and operations of these planning vehicles. Represent and assist families with administration of the estate, including probate and related aspects, such as estate inventory, management during administration, distributions to beneficiaries, and related tax matters; representation in court for both contested and non-contested proceedings. Advise about and form limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships, to include preparation of organizational agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements.
Brian S. Coursey

Brian began his career as a Certified Public Accountant and brings this extensive accounting and tax knowledge to his law practice. As a partner with the firm, his work ethic has allowed him to quickly become an integral part of the firm’s transactional group. As an attorney & CPA he handles many different types of business and corporate matters, ranging from entity selection and formations to the buying and selling of businesses. He also frequently prepares and advises on employment agreements, buy-sell agreements and other contracts used in operations. Routinely he will represent clients and advise them in various estate planning matters, including protecting assets against potential creditors and tax avoidance and assists clients with estate administration and various types of probate matters.
